Second Chapter Women

“Widows living out their second chapter after the loss of a spouse.”  The Lord has granted us a second chapter in our journey of life. We can encourage each other to glorify the Lord by how we live it out with grace and joy in His will. “Therefore encourage one another, and build up one another...”

1 Thessalonians 5:11

“Second Chapter women” is RCC’s newest ministry designed specifically for widows. It aims to be welcoming with a little extra love to let them know they are never alone and they have a place to belong in the body of Christ.

They will be encouraged to share themselves by being in a Bible Study group, volunteering wherever their gifts lead them, and participating in women’s events. In addition, this ministry will provide special events and communications, designed just for them in mind, in hopes to connect and provide fellowship opportunities with others who have experienced a similar loss. The plans will provide a place for widows to not only find
encouragement for their journey, but also will suggest ways to help and encourage another, which is good medicine for any aching heart.
